Big Pine Retreat is a lodge and retreat center with century log cabins restore to their original condition. It offers bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, large open great room with a fireplace and a porch overlooking a private lake. Outside features include a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, hot dogs, or just enjoying a fire outside by the beautiful lake. Along with the course and facilities, the center offers an experience of communication and team building through activities through low and high ropes courses that promote self-discovery and personal enrichment. The center is located just a few miles from HWY 74, HWY 1, and HWY 177 in Hamlet and just a few miles from the former North Carolina Speedway.

Colemans Creek Long Range Shooting is located one hour west of Ft. Bragg in Richmond County, NC. We are a 640+ acre elite training center designed for Military, Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies, as well as private contracting agencies. We are committed to excellence in marksmanship for all shooters. As such, civilians can become a club member to gain access to our ranges and off-road riding trails. Non-members can take training classes, receive private instruction, and compete in our open competitions. However, all other open range and trail access is restricted to members and their guests. Coleman’s Creek is your premier training destination, with it’s unparalleled long ranges, featuring a 1-mile range laid out over a natural rolling hill terrain, unmatched off-road mobility courses, flat ranges, and more.

Castlewood Park is owned and operated by Richmond County. There are two picnic shelters available for use on a first come first serve basis. The park opens daily 15 minutes before dawn and closes 15 minutes before dusk. The facility is closed and not maintained on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. DeWitt’s is located in Ellerbe, N.C. just 16 miles N of Rockingham, N.C. and 1 hour south of Greensboro, N.C. DeWitt’s utilizes 65 acres of varied terrain, from the 600+ acres available. DeWitt’s offers a 14 station sporting clays course winding 1.2 miles. The course consists of 2 automatic traps per station offering a variety of challenging yet enjoyable target presentations. You will shoot in wooded areas with smaller windows, open fields, targets thrown from towers and shots over water.

Hinson Lake is a lovely city park located within the city limits of Rockingham NC. The city has prepared almost 3 miles of walking trails looping around the lake just underneath a shady canopy of trees with numerous wooden bridges including one that is 300ft long with a nice gazebo in the middle Picnic tables and benches are located around the lake.

Operating Hours: Tuesday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Closed Sunday, Monday and state holidays.
Amenities Include: 50 and 100-yard rifle range with six shooting stations, 25-yard pistol range with six shooting stations, 5-stand sporting clays range, 3-D archery range, standard archery range, and two combination skeet/trap ranges.

Inspired by their own personal experience with their daughter, the namesake for the center, “Krystal”, Leo and Barbara McCauley are actualizing their longtime dream of providing a place for families with children with special needs to comfortably relax and enjoy each other among the scenic 34 acre property that includes a 6 ½ acre pond, multiple walking trails, and various other unique features. The retreat is not officially open yet, but plans to host day events in the summer of 2021.
