Town Creek Indian Mound is a prehistoric Native American archaeological site located near present day Mt. Gilead in Montgomery County. A glimpse of pre-Columbian life in the Piedmont. The visitor center has interpretive exhibits, as well as audiovisual programs that bring alive a rich cultural heritage from the buried past. Self-guided tours of the rebuilt structures and mound are available.
